SPECIFICATION: Package includes two high impact nylon applicators with attached tissue cutting blades on each applicator, one disposable scalpel, two iodine packs, one disposable solution tray and 40 ligatures. The nylon ligatures have extreme strength and flexibility, and can be utilized in low temperature ambient weather. The blades can become corroded with repeated exposures to disinfectant. The ligatures and scalpel are sterile packaged, once opened they should be placed in the provided iodine/water solution to aid in controlling contamination. All replacement parts may be ordered by the provided catalog numbers.

OBJECTIVE: To be used as an aid in controlling hemorrhaging in castrating cattle.

APPLICATION: Make sure the animal is restrained. Incise the scrotum and expose the testicle. Pull the testicle from the scrotal region so it is fully exposed. Steadily pull the testicle downward until the surrounding cremaster muscle is exposed and separates. Do not continue pulling the testicle after the cremaster muscle separates. Place the ligature (clip) as far up the cord as possible. The ligature may be applied by closing with the Stress Saver applicator or with your fingers. Cut the cord 1 to 2 inches below the clip with the attached applicator blade or knife. This procedure aids in very limited bleeding. Upon completion, repeat the procedure for the second testicle.

Blade Replacement:
1) To remove, use a screwdriver to flip the post out of the slot
2) With silver button down, slip post into slot on applicator
3) Push up with thumb to secure the latch.

Loading Clips: Holding the applicator with the silver button facing up, push the male side of the clip into the right slot. Applicator will say, "Load this side".
