Calf & Sheep Balling Gun, 9/16" HeadCalf & Sheep Balling Gun, 9/16" Head
$25.00

Balling guns are produced with vinyl heads that can be interchanged on the same shafts, or replaced if damaged. The thumb ring and finger rings are zinc die cast, the plunger body shafts are brass and the plungers are aluminum. All parts can be replaced. The overall length is 12".

OBJECTIVE: To aid in the medical application of a single bolus via an oral route of administration.

APPLICATION: Pull the plunger back by grasping the thumb ring and insert the bolus into the vinyl head. The bolus should fit snugly. Do not force the bolus into the head or when the plunger is released it could cause damage to the bolus. Insert the gun head into the animal’s mouth at the side, center to the front of the throat, push on the plunger and release the bolus. Be cautious and do not force the balling gun too far down the throat or damage to the pharynx may occur. After the bolus is released, wait to make sure it is swallowed. Slowly pull straight back and remove from the mouth. Clean with soap and water. Always use extreme caution.
